News and Updates from
March 2009 To say I
am excited that CellarTracker! would be
willing to partner with The Direct This isn’t the first time this a Champagne producer
has done this, but I thought I would point out that small producer Pierre Morlet has launched direct sales in the United States via
their website
and a mailing list. If the wines
aren’t available in your local market, this is a great way to gain access to
them. It wouldn’t surprise me to see
more small producers take this route as
So how are Pierrer Morlet’s wines? I
would call them good values for your dollar.
I haven’t been blown away by any of the cuvees, but they are all solid
and fall on the fuller bodied side of the equation. With almost 75% of the family’s holdings
being Pinot Noir from Avenay-Val-d'Or, A˙, Bisseuil, and Mutigny, plus the use of some oak, this only makes sense. |
